Anna’s Radical Library Day

Celebrate bold stories and the people who share them.

Anna’s Radical Library Day is a tribute to my sister Anna—her love of books, her passion for justice, and the way she empowered others to think deeply and live boldly. Whether you pick up a book, visit your local library, or make a donation, you’re helping keep Anna’s spirit alive and investing in a world filled with stories that inspire change.

How To Participate on January 30

  • Anna’s Radical Library Day takes place every year on January 30. It’s a tribute to my late sister Anna—her love of books, her passion for justice, and the way she empowered others to think deeply and live boldly. There are three main ways to participate.

  • Read

Read your kids or yourself a radical, empowering book. If you need inspiration, check out the list on our website. Tag @deschuteslibrary or @annasradicallibrary to share what you read.

  • Explore

Support your local library by getting a library card, exploring its programs and events, or visiting in person. Your participation helps strengthen the library's role in fostering education and community for everyone.
